My two-year-old wants to ride an ATV!

Written by Raceway ATV - the #1 kids Kazuma ATV dealer
My two-year-old wants to ride an ATV! Updated: Wednesday, 25 July 2007

My two-year-old wants to ride an ATV!

Ask any parenting expert or child psychologist and they will give you similar answers. Kids learn by emulating people they admire and adore…namely parents or their guardians. Hence, if they’ve seen you ride your ATV everywhere and having fun, it makes sense that they’d start bugging you for one. How can you resist those puppy dog eyes and pouty lips, anyway? If you’re concerned about putting their lives in danger riding ATVs, let’s get this straight….you’re right! 2-year-olds should not even be near a kids ATV. They’re not old enough to handle even the smallest cc ATVs. But there’s always something for these tots and we’re talking about high-tech machines called Electric-powered ATVs made specifically for tiny tykes.

If you have concerns, it’s valid. But here are some common questions we have answers to and hope that it helps you somewhat.

Buying Electric-powered kids ATVs is expensive
It is definitely NOT expensive. Let’s take a look at one of our best-selling Peg Perego electric-powered kids ATVs, the John Deere kids animal farm hayride. Music, lights, sound and fun….all for only $159.95. Many other kids ATVs costs double the price out there in the market and for less than $200, your kid gets to enjoy what you enjoy without compromising their safety. By the way, the John Deere kids animal farm hayride kids Peg Perego comes with all those funky gadgets like animal sounds that (we promise you this) your 2-year-old will absolutely love.

What if they confuse the accelerator with the brake?
Yeah, that’s one of the biggest concerns parents have about buying an ATV for their kids and you’re absolutely right to be concerned! We’re talking about toddlers here and it’s easy for them to get confused (in moments of truth). That is why Peg Perego kids electric-powered ATVs have only one pedal. When they step on the accelerator, the ATV moves when they remove their foot, the ATV comes to a stop. Therefore, as you can see, it’s not possible for your kids to get confused between the two pedals.

They get bored with it really fast. Is it worth the investment?
How true. Kids do, indeed, get bored with new toys very quickly. But because Peg Perego kids electric-powered ATVs comes with many cute and kid-friendly features, it lasts a whole lot longer than other conventional kids ATVs. Songs, lights, buttons and playthings comes with the whole package. The John Deere Kids Farm Animal Hayride ATV is really popular with the kids (2 – 4 year olds), The John Deere Utility Tractor is usually a hit with the boys, and if you prefer something ‘stationery’, try the Santa Fe Train ride suitable for toddlers till 3.

Having their own ATVs give them confidence. These low maintenance electric-powered kids ATVs usually costs less than $200 each, so you can be sure it won’t bust your budget.
