Chaetam game reserve, Tennessee

Written by Raceway ATV - the #1 kids Kazuma ATV dealer
Chaetam game reserve, Tennessee Updated: Tuesday, 10 April 2007

There are literally hundreds of places you can ride your ATV in Tennessee but it’s not easy to find an ATV trail that has the right balance. When we say ‘balance’, we’re talking about an ATV trail where beginner ATV riders can practice their ATV riding skills while the experts find if challenging. Most ATV trails will be suitable for either beginners or experts. This can cause a problem for families who intends to have fun outdoors riding ATVs.

Chaetam Game Reserve located in the heart of lovely Tennessee is one place where everyone can have some fun. Chaetam is essentially a old jeep road that is located near a shooting range. The only concern you might have is of being too close to the shooting range – you don’t want something untoward to happen during an ATV holiday! And one more thing to remember is to steer clear of the ATV trail when it’s hunting season. Tennessee folks like to hunt around that area at that time. For those who are not into ATVs can try their hand at shooting at the shooting range. We had a lot of fun doing just that when we were not running our ATVs up and down the slops of this ATV trail.

The good thing about this ATV trail is that there are many trails that intertwine with each other, some single trails and some dual. But everything, all the trails, tie together in a loop and there is no deep end. 35,000 acres…that’s how big this ATV trail is – it’s a fascinating place to ride ATV, actually because it’s wide, it’s spacious, the ATV trails are pretty neat, some parts of the ATV trail is challenging while the fire roads are suitable for beginners and intermediate riders. With that kind of space, you can imagine the kind of fun you can have there. in fact, we reckon that you could spend a month here just going on the different trails and not get bored!

But hey, with that big a space, getting lost is a big problem, so, before you ride it, go to the ranger station and grab a map of the reserve so that you can map out the ATV trail. Take the map with you when you’re riding so that you will know where you are at all times. Intermediate ATV riders can take the fire road (like the one for beginners) and take one of the trails that branches off of it. Beginners, we believe, should stick to the fire road.

The downhills of this ATV trail is fascinatingly fast and when you’re going down at high speed, it’s important to watch out for fallen trees and logs that could overturn your machine. The climbs are not easy as well because this is where your machine’s full capacity is stretched. But one thing’s for sure, you’ll love all the uphills and downhills as much as exploring all the available ATV trails here!

If you are thinking of having a holiday with the family, one that allows you to challenge yourself on your ATV, head on over to Chaetam Game Reserve.
