When You Need New Tires For Your ATV

Raceway now carries a full line of ATV tires for both dirt and sandy terrain conditions. If you want to upgrade your tires, but you aren't sure what type of tire would be best for your ATV, here are a few tips for choosing the best tire for your needs.

The first step in buying a new set of tires for your ATV is to determine what size your current tires are. This should be marked on the tires, but if it is not, just get a ruler and bend down under your ATV and measure the width of the tires. Write it down and then check out the selection that Raceway has put together for you.

Once you have got the size or measurement of your ATV tires, it is time to decide what type of tire you want. There are flat ATV tires, round tires, and various different kinds to treads available.

The majority of ATV riders prefer flat tires to round because round tires do not generally handle turns as well. Another thing to consider while choosing tires for your ATV is whether your want a small tire or a bigger tire. Small ATV tires offer more support for fast speeds, but they lack much clearance. Bigger ATV tires will allow for much more clearance and will give you more of a smooth and steady ride, but they are not equipped for higher speeds. There are great designs in tires for riding on gravel or hard packed dirt conditions such as the Swamp Fox and the Blackwidow Dirt ATV Tires. The Rat Dirt ATV tires are for the front wheels only and give a great grip.

If riding the sand dunes is more to your liking, check out the Diamond Trak ATV tires and the Blacktail Sand ATV tires. Both have a large groove running down the middle for extra maneuverability. If traction is what you want in the sand Aerospeed Sand Tires, Sidewinder and Sand Snake ATV tires are all great options.

Check out the full line at Raceway and improve your ride with better tires today!
