ATVing and Camping in New Mexico

Are you looking for a place to ride your brand new Jetmoto ATV that offers sandy desert trails and expansive forests as well as some really great camping spots? If so, then you should take a trip to New Mexico, as the state happens to be full of great ATV trails and campgrounds that are extremely diverse. The Lincoln National Forest offers the best of both worlds, as it is open to both camping and ATV riding, but be careful not to litter or harm the environment in any way, because the forest has began to enforce some very serious penalties to those who violate the land in any way.

Some other excellent places to ride an ATV in New Mexico include the Carson National Forest, which also allows camping, and the Haysack Mountain Recreation Area and the Mescalero Sands North Dunes OHV Area, which offer some fabulous sand dunes for your riding pleasure. Sometimes national forests tend to get a bit crowded, so if you would prefer to camp out at one of the state's many campgrounds, you could do that as well. Some of New Mexico's best campgrounds include: Albuquerque Central KOA, Alto Hombre Gordito Hideout, Caballo Lake RV Park, Elephant Butte Lake State Park, Enchanted View RV Park, Los Campos De Santa Fe RV Resort, the Rio Chama RV Park and more. Most of these campsites offer great amenities and activities, and you are sure to enjoy your stay while you get a good night's rest after a long day of ATVing.
