Maryland ATVing

You may or may not be aware of it, but Maryland is a great place to test out your brand new Yamato 150 ATV. The state has a highly diverse array of terrain that is sure to give both your new ATV and yourself a good challenge, regardless of what your skill level is. There is simply nothing like getting your ATV dirty for the first time while riding through a thick forest, which Maryland happens to have a large abundance of.

Or if you would prefer a really tough challenge, try riding your new ATV on some of Maryland's huge mountains. Riding on maintains is strictly for experienced ATV riders, but beginners have access to plenty of great ATV activities in Maryland as well.

Oakland is by far one of Maryland's most popular ATV spots, as it is home to the Potomac-Garrett State Forest, which is home to a large variety of forest ATV trails. Like most states, Maryland has a small list of rules and regulations that you are required to follow while riding in the state. The minimum ATV riding age in Maryland is 12, and the child must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian while riding. In order to ride your ATV in Maryland it must be registered with the state's Recreation Management Agency, which requires a small fee. It is also required that you have a valid driver's license or learners permit while you ride your ATV in Maryland.

Maryland has a great deal of fun to offer up both the experienced and new rider to the sport of ATVing, follow the rules and have a great, safe time!
