A Few ATV Tips

If you recently got an ATV, you will soon find that owning an ATV is a lot of fun and they don't require a lot of maintenance to keep them running well.

Your ATV is already well made and they are built to last and give you many years of riding fun. Here are a few tips and tricks to keep your ATV running. First of all, be sure to clean your ATV after each ride. Dirt and debris are the number one cause of engine erosion and it's nearly all preventible. Simply clean your ATV after you ride and you'll eliminate a lot of future problems.

Brake seals are not cheap to replace, every 500 miles or so that you ride on your ATV, make a little time to remove your front hubs, rear axle hubs, and your brake drums on your ATV coat your seals with a good grease and this will stop water from getting on your brakes as well as keeping your axle seals from drying up and starting to leak.

You can save the day when you're out riding your ATV if you create a little emergency kit. Have some simple tools, tapes, and spark plugs (for when those carbs flood now and then) and you can turn a stalled trail ride into a fun afternoon.

If you happen to take your ATV in wet areas or you ride through a lot of water, take the time to grease up any moving parts. Rust is not your ATVs friend and a little preventative maintenance on your part can keep it from happening.

And those are just a few tips and tricks to keep you and your ATV out on the trails having a great time.
