When you are out tearing up the turf on your ATV, it is always best that you wear a jacket for protection. The same goes when you are out riding on your motorcycle as well. You would not want to walk through the rain without an umbrella, would you? Nor would you want to sit in freezing temperatures without a warm, winter jacket.
Being out and about riding on your ATV or motorcycle means that you are exposing yourself to the elements. By wearing a jacket, you will protect yourself not only from rainy weather, but also from flying sand or little bits of debris. Many of you know as well that a bug hitting you on the arm when you are flying down the road on your motorcycle is not such a sweet feeling. If you were wearing a jacket, you may not have even felt it at all.
If you are out riding and wearing something like a motorcycle enduro jacket, you would be protected from pretty much all of the elements that you would normally be exposed to on your motorcycle or ATV. Even when it is hot out, it may be a good idea to slap on a lightweight jacket like this to protect you from some of the more harmful rays of the sun. Think about how much less it would hurt if you were wearing a jacket if you suddenly had a few small rocks flying up at you while on your ATV. A good motorcycle or ATV jacket can come in pretty handy for any rider.
