Moose Walk/Moose Run ATV Trails

The Moose Walk and Run Trail are two parts that are incorporated in a 6 mile combined trail. It is a great place to bring your ATV and ride a fabulous course that has all that an ATVer is looking for.

Both of these segments of trails are located in the Finland State Forest. It is the county of Lake. To get there from Finland, go east on Lake Co Highway 7 for about 2 miles. The total distance of this trail is 26 miles. It is open from May 15 to November 30, depending on the weather conditions.

This type of trail was made for ATVing. It has the rough terrain and the mud spots for a good run. This is for any level of ATV rider so advanced skills are not a necessary factor for navigating these ATV trails.

Use your own good common sense when driving your ATV on these trails. Don't drive side by side and never ride double on your ATV. Never ride your ATV while under the influence of anything. Watch your speed at all times. If you are a beginner or on the young side, think about taking a special safety ATV course, even if you are a seasoned ATVer you just might learn something!

There is certain equipment that is essential for all ATVer's to have to ride these trail, among the equipment needed are a DOT approved helmet, goggles, gloves for a good steady grip on your ATV and boots will protect your legs.

A cell phone or walkie talkies are a good thing to have in case of an emergency. Don't forget some water, ATVing can be a thirsty sport and on the remote chance you get stranded on your ATV, water can become very necessary.

ATVing is a great sport, use safety, common sense, and be courteous of others and you are assured of a great time.
