Consider An ATV For Your Child At Christmas Time

If you're not sure what to get your kids for Christmas this year and they've been good, very good, you would do well to consider getting them an ATV.

An ATV makes a fun and education gift for your child. An ATV is something you can do with your child and it creates quality time spent together, something that can be lacking between your kids busy school schedules and your busy work schedules.

ATVing is also good for hand eye coordination development and it is just fun to do! There are safety courses you can take with your child and learn a few things yourself.

If you're not sure how to pick out an ATV for your child, simply follow these tips:
When seated, your child's feet should land squarely on the floorboard of foot peg of the ATV. Your child's thighs should be parallel with the ground and not hyperextended. The seat should be comfortable.

The ATV is too small if your child's knees are high or if their shoulders are hunched over. Your child should be able to easily reach the handlebars and should be able to turn them without stretching or leaning. There should be a comfortable bend in your child's elbows when holding the handle bars, if your child's arms are straight, the ATV is too large and they will have limited turning ability and difficulty controlling their ATV. Also, check dealer specifications for each model for further tips on choosing an ATV.

Additionally, get your child a matching helmet, gloves and safety gear set and this will promise to be the most thrilling Christmas they've ever had!
