Check out the Red Top ATV Trail

The Red Top ATV Trail is a great place to try out your skills on your ATV, whether you are a novice or an experienced rider.

This ATV trail called Red Top, is located in Aitkin County. It lies off the Soo Line Trail, about 4 1/2 miles from Isle, near Mille Lacs Lake. It is about 25 miles of pure excitement. The Red Top ATV trail, is open between May 15 to November 1, depending on the weather.

This is a wonderful trail for any ATVer for it runs through some awesome scenery. There is a forest area that is very windy and offers some rough terrain and steep slopes. Along the way, while ATVing, you may come across some patches of wild flowers or even some wildlife.

Make sure when you are out ATVing and having a fun time, that you pay attention to your surroundings. You never know when something might cross the ATV trail or maybe something be in the way of the trail.

Safety is always a top priority in the sport of ATVing. Make sure you do a complete systems check on your ATV before heading out on the trails. Change the oil, the plugs, and don't forget the tires. The air pressure is so important, so make sure you follow the manufacturers instructions.

The gear you wear is very important for protection to your body. A helmet, gloves, goggles, and boots are the basic wardrobe. An official ATV riding suit makes you look cool. There are a few mud bogs around these ATV trails and it will spray, that spray will always land on you which can impair your visability, so be prepared to act safely and ford mud bogs carefully.
