Hidden Trails to Ride Your ATV in Georgia

Georgia is a rider's paradise. This one state has sandy beaches, hard packed soil trails, mountains and dense forests of Pine. These are fantastic riding opportunities for the ATV and motorcycle enthusiast. Dug Gap has over 20 miles of trails. There is a double track climb with two separate trails going up. There are three separate tracks going downhill. If you're looking for a more intense ride there's a long winding trail located near the mountain. The trail head begins just past Dug Gap Mountain Road

Another great trail system is located at Durhamtown Resort in Greensboro about 40 miles east of Atlanta. This is a sportsman resort and there are over 100 miles of trails located on 7000 acres of property. Most of the trails are two lane and along with the dense forest riding, you will find creek crossings and hills to climb. The rating of this riding area, would be for intermediate skill level riders.

If you happen to be in the Macon area of Georgia, check out East Macon Recreational Park. This is a small riding area, and is for experienced riders there are fast downhills and good hills to climb. Additionally, the trails are very well marked with ribbons and arrows. If you're looking for a riding area that the whole family can enjoy, check out Family Fun in Jekyll Island. For just three dollars per person you can get into the park and ride the 20 miles worth of trails. The trails are mostly asphalt and cement around the island and are very easy to navigate.

On your next visit to Georgia, if you feel the need to ride check out one of these riding areas and have a great day exploring the trails on your ATV or motorcycle.
