Easy Trails for Beginning Riders in Georgia

If you're newer to the sport of ATV or riding a motorcycle, you're going to want to start out riding trails for beginners this is a great way to hone your skills on your machine.

Check out the College Trail in Oakwood where you will find 4 miles of track that are networked together. The only challenge for the beginning rider will be that there are small hills. This is a good place to practice climbing. Make sure that you have an experienced rider with you so they can show you the ropes of safe climbing.

Coralwood Woods in Decatur is another great loop trail for beginning riders. This is a very short trail as it is only 1 mile long, and there are no real challenges on this trail. It is however densely foliaged so be aware of slapping branches.

Davenport ATV Trail is 5 miles worth of fun for beginning ATV or and motorcycle riders. These trails are mostly flat terrain and slowly winding trails. These trails are rated extremely easy and are a fantastic place for beginning riders to learn the good basic handling skills of their ATV or motorcycle. The Brasstown Ranger District manages this riding area and you can get a map of the current trail from their office to plan your ride. They do require that you wear a helmet and goggles to ride this ATV Trail, riders up to the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult also on ATV or motorcycle.
