Southern California ATV Riding Fun

If you are looking for an ATV adventure in Southern California, the Hungry Valley ATV Area is the perfect place for you. The Hungry Valley ATV Area is located just north of Los Angeles in the Tejon Pass. The valley is home to a large selection of ATV trails that span various different types of terrain. The area spans over 130 miles of lush hills, sand washes and grasslands, and it is the second largest ATV area in the California State Park Off Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division.

Due to the amount of variety offered by the Hungry Valley ATV Area, there are trails that are perfect for beginning, moderate, and experienced ATV enthusiasts. Beginning ATV riders would be best off on the more passive country grassland parts of the area, while riders who have more experience will get a good challenge on the trails near the hillier sections. The sand washes in the Hungry Valley ATV Area will also provide a challenge for the experienced ATV rider as well.

The best times to go to the Hungry Valley ATV Area are during Fall and Spring. If you go to the area during these seasons you will be treated to a more mild yet pleasant environment that is hot yet breezy. The Hungry Valley ATV Area is very dry and hot during the summer, so it is recommended that those who are not used to the harshness of California heat go in the cooler months. However, going in the Winter is not recommended because it is very rainy. Have fun riding your ATV in Hungry Valley, and make sure you ride safely!
