What Every RC Tool Box Needs

If you're going to be a part of the RC car craze, you will need to learn to do very basic maintenance on your vehicle to keep it coming it running at peak performance. You probably already have these basics around your home for a myriad of car maintenance projects or just being handy around the house; if not, stock up on a few tools you will need such as:

A tool box is the place to begin. You will need a central point to have all your tools. You can use a tool box, plastic box or just anything that you can take with you to the track or wherever you enjoy driving your RC car or truck. A fishing tackle box is outstanding for keeping small parts and tools all neat and separate. Then get an assortment of small screwdrivers, a standard and metric set of nut drivers and a hex wrench assortment. You will also need a number of small flat head and Philips-head screwdrivers. A pair of needle nose pliers are priceless when you need to retrieve something that has fallen to the interior of your car or you need to do some fine-tuning. It's even better to have a two pairs of pliers one with teeth and one that is smooth so you can do maintenance without the worry of the teeth of the pliers cutting through delicate wiring.

With these basics, you should be able to do regular and if needed, emergency maintenance of your RC car or truck either at home or on the track. There are also a number of RC specific tools that are very handy to have around, but this basic set up will more than suffice for most RC enthusiasts.
