The Nitro Star 18SS is a powerhouse of an engine. This thing is screaming fast and sends massive torque and power to the drivetrain. Combine that with hardened metal cut gears and innovative Outdrive Cups, and you’ll be causing dust storms on the track. Leave the competition wiping their eyes as you fly past them. Built to handle the toughest racing environments, we used the highest spec material on the outdrive cups to provide maximum durability. Upgraded final drive gears are now made from cut metal instead of cast aluminum. So go ahead and rip it up. Fly past the competition, up and over anything an offroad track has to offer. The last thing you’ll be worrying about is your drivetrain. We’ve already taken care of it.

This high torque, super powerful engine is perfect for "outlaw" class racers and hobbyists looking for a reliable high power engine that is easy to maintain and tune. Rated at 1.5 horsepower, this is easily one of the most powerful small block engines on the market today! The 18SS is an excellent match for any truck that will accept a small block (.12-.15 size) engine with pullstarter, and has also been tested at 60mph in HPI nitro touring cars! Equipped with a convenient pullstarter, the 18SS will also accept the HPI Roto Start System!

This kit is built to handle the extreme speed of the Nitro Star Outlaw 18SS engine and it does it with finesse and intensity. Keep in mind that the previous version was already a great machine. We've taken what we learned from that and added inspirations from several of our other successful cars and trucks to create a truly race worthy and formidable MT truck!

We lowered the center of gravity by dropping the drive train and opening the chassis plate. But don't worry, it's well protected by this stylish chassis guard. Your car will look and perform great even in places you can't see.

Now users can change bodyshell height quickly and without the need to cut the body posts. You'll be able to adjust for track and weather conditions quickly and easily with this redesign.

The high quality cut metal gears we use in both differentials are extremely well protected and completely sealed from dust and elements. They will perform better than any ever included on an MT model and are durable enough to deliver the power of the 18SS engine.

With all that power in your hands, you'll also have the knowledge that you're MT 2 18SS is protected and reinforced by a carbon plastic chassis brace that reduces flex and stiffens the chassis for extreme driving.

18SS Engine Are you ready to take on this 40,000 RPM nitro engine? This thing is built for speed and delivers it in large doses. Your competition won't last long, but your engine will last longer than ever due to the true ABC construction of the piston and sleeve.

Re-Engineered Drivetrain The drivetrain has been upgraded throughout. From the brand new Universal Joints, to heavy duty drive cups and shafts, the power will get from the engine to the ground with little resistance.

Universal Joints These things are awesome! Completely designed for the hardcore racer in mind. These joints features an aluminum sleeve that covers the pin. You'll have no problem keeping these intact through whatever track condition you encounter.

Dirt Bonz JR You'll notice the difference as every one of the several hundred treads digs in to the dirt and sends your Nitro MT 2 18SS flying past the competition. With unique "bonz" shaped tread, internal ribbed support, and a much lighter rotational mass, these are an excellent inclusion to an already formidable kit.

100CC Fuel Tank This 100cc fuel tank provides enough fuel capacity keep you running when the competition needs to stop. You'll definitely be driving your MT2 18SS more with this excellent addition.
