Trail Status at Brown's Camp Off Highway Vehicle Area

Oregon has a great number of places to ride your 4-wheeler. You're in for a real treat if you take your 4-wheeler to Brown's camp. They have a few "rules of the road" for riding. You must have your 4-wheeler sticker clearly displayed on your vehicle at all times and 4-wheeler helmets are required for anyone riding these areas. All riders must have a valid driving license or learner's permit.

The rule of "call before you haul" applies to this area. Trails that you love to ride your 4-wheeler on can close suddenly and without warning. Make sure you plan your rides on the most current information available for this area. If you're in doubt, call the rangers office and they can confirm which trails are open and which are closed for maintenance. And when planning a ride, be sure to leave a copy of your route with someone back home so if something unforeseen happens - such as getting stranded, you can be found easily.

One of the trails within Brown's, Crushers Trail has recently been redesigned and is a more scenic 4-wheeler ride. Gummy Worm trail, so named because of it's winding and curving nature, has also reopened after being closed for one riding season to be cleared. It is a short and sweet 4-wheeler ride with lots of easy navigation, if you recently bought a 4-wheeler for the first time; these easy trails are fun to practice maneuvering on.

Firebreak 5 Trail is another easy ride that is great for beginning 4-wheeler riders but if the weather has been or is wet, this section of trail won't be open to prevent further trail damage and erosion.
