This trail is a heavily used trail of intermediate difficulty connecting 2 other heavily used trails. The managing agency is Pike National Forest Service. These trails are open winter through spring. ATVers, hikers, motorcyclists, mountain bikers, and snowmobilers use these multi-use trails.
This trail is about 4 miles long and goes to an elevation of about 400 feet. The difficulty is intermediate, and newer ATV riders will enjoy this trail and pick up some great new maneuvering skills with their ATVs. More experienced ATV riders will enjoy passing on their learned skills to less experienced ATV riders.
Since these are National Forest managed lands, be sure to have your muffler and spark arrestor installed prior to riding these ATV trails, the winter months can be especially dry and leave the grasslands open to fire from a mere spark. Dress appropriately and remember the higher elevations can become cold. Dressing in layers will usually let you ride comfortably and you can remove a layer if you get overheated on the way down.
