Georgia has a good number of destinations to take your ATV or motorcycle to. The trails range from very easy to very difficult. Depending on your skill level and experience in riding, choose your destination wisely.
The Trails at the Beach in Clayton County are just 8-miles in length but are a single and doubletrack network of very well maintained riding trails. The trails are rated in difficulty by signs, ride the appropriate trail for your skill level and always ride with a buddy. If you're new to riding, check out the Thompson Trail in Macon. This is another short ride but well worth it. The trail is currently only 4-miles long but an involved maintenance crew is expanding the trail on a regular basis. These trails are rated intermediate and has good climbs and downhills.
Tibbs U. S. Forest ATV Trail is just over 3 miles long and is a network of multi-use trails. Even though this riding area is not for beginners, these trails get heavy use. The trail begins at Grassy Mountain and ends at a gate on private land. Even if the gate is open, do not ride on this land without permission from the owner. The heaviest part of the riding season is during hunting season from November through February
Tom Triplet in Pooler has 3 short trails of roughly 1 miles each that loop around. The trail is very easy to ride and very flat. There are old rice silos and if you look carefully as you ride through, you will see the remnants of old stills used for making whiskey back during Prohibition.
