Located just a mile from the Mississippi River in Tennessee, the Sugar Creek Trails are a place where you can still see deer and wild turkey roaming the land.
The property was developed for OHV riding in the 1990s and attracts as many as 800 people who come out to ride the hills, ravines and forested trails of this area. The area became an ATV Mecca for the area when the owner of the property encountered a police officer that was ordering 3 ATVers off the riverbank. The owner of the property told the ATVers they could come ride their ATVs on his land. The following weekend, the ATVers returned with their friends and a new riding area was born.
The fee to ride Sugar Creek Trails is $10 for an all day ride or you can buy a membership for the entire week for $15. The trails are open to dune buggies, motorcycles, rock climbers and hikers. There's also a mud hole for four-wheel-drive trucks. Sugar Creek Trails is a huge facility that has marked trails and going off trail is not only allowed, it is encouraged. This is one place that ATVers are allowed to find their own trails and enjoy their own exploration adventures.
If you are a more experienced ATVer, you will thoroughly enjoy the challenges of the creeks, mounds and ravines to ride. There is also a U-shaped motocross track with plenty of jumps, tabletops and mounds. Helmets are only required to be worn on the motocross track, but everyone is advised to put safety first and wear their helmets and other safety gear at all times.
