Eight Great Ways To Protect Our ATV Riding Areas

It's a fact: ATV riding land is getting dangerously scarce. Despite what you might think, there are a few things that you can do to help in the fight to keep ATV riding areas in full bloom.

Number one: Take the time to learn more about this important issue. Ask community leaders, family, friends, or anyone who you think might have more information about ATV riding as it pertains to environmental issues. Use your Internet search engines to find more information about ATV land related matters.

Number two: Define one small part of the ATV riding land related issue to specialize yourself in. Don't inundate yourself with too many details of the entire issue. If you educate yourself on the entire ATV riding land related issue, but specialize in just one area, you will sound more intelligent, as well as being more productive.

Number three: Make a phone call to your elected representatives. Feel free to ask your elected official several questions regarding ATV riding as it pertains to land related matters. If you feel funny about calling your elected official, bear in mind that it is their job as a public servant to uplift the public and let their voices be heard.

Number four: Write a letter to send to your local newspaper. The editorial section of the newspaper is a great outlet to voice your concerns regarding land related matters for ATV riding. Don't make your letter long and drawn out. Keep it short, concise and informative. In this way thousands of people will see the information, but will not be overwhelmed at it's great length.

Number five: Join an ATV club. with a strong standing behind you, you will get taken much more seriously. If there is no ATV club in your area, take the initiative to start an ATV riding club. Yahoo.com provides a free service in which you may start a group online. You could advertise this information at any opportunity, including leaving the link for your ATV riding club in your signature of all of your e-mails.

Number six: Be a leader; be a role model. In other words, don't just say you want things to change; act to change them in your everyday life. If you practice what you preach you will get much more respect.

Number seven: Get at least one other person involved in your ATV riding cause. If you are an ATV riding enthusiast, you more than likely know someone else who enjoys ATV riding. But even if you don't know someone who enjoys ATV riding, anyone who enjoys the environment for any other recreational purposes would be a great asset to this cause.

Number eight: Let the world know how important ATV riding in regards to the environment issues are. Whether it's the tag line of your e-mail, or just a bumper sticker on your ATV, let the world know that the environment is important to you, as an ATV rider.
