A Bike Stand For Winter

When you park your bike for the winter in your storage location, you will want to remember to put it up on a bike stand. Having your bike lean for the entire winter season while you will not be riding it will not cause even distribution to your bike's tires, and you'll end up having to refill your tires again in the spring. This is not an enormously crucial step, however if you have ever had to ride any vehicle on low tires, you know how aggravating this can be.

If your bike is already on a center stand, all you have to do is set it up on the center stand for the winter and your bike is all set.

For those who have a swing bar stand and a front end stand, or for those who have a swing arm stand and a fork stand, you may also store your bike using just these two stands.

If you have only the one kick stand, you do not have to worry about rigging some sort of stand for your bike. This causes the risk of dropping your bike, which is much more serious than worrying about having to fill your bike's tires up in the spring. You will just have to keep in mind over the winter to take heed with your tires.

Your tires are an important aspect to your bike, so you'll want to put them up on a bike stand if at all possible, but remember that it is more important to have a cherry, unscratched bike than it is to have even air distribution in your bike wheels.
