Want the most from your time on your ATV? Then go to the Malheur National Forest and ride the Sheep Creek ATV Trail and have the time of your life.
To get there just take County road 62 heading south then turn onto Forest Service Road 13. Follow that for about 15 miles and that will take you right to the ATV trailhead.
The length of this ATV trail is 5.4 miles with the highest elevation of 8000 ft. and the lowest being 5000 ft. The terrain can get pretty rough and there is some obstacles, so it has been rated as more difficult. The season for this ATV trail to be open is from June to November.
One nice thing about this ATV trail is that it follows Sheep Creek. There is plenty of scenic views that you would not want to miss, so take some time and look. There will be lots of wildlife that includes Elk and deer. There might also be cattle grazing at certain times of the day.
Watch for plies of wood and debris blocking part of the ATV trail. Also carry water with you because even though there is a water supply, it could be contaminated from the cattle.
