The first thing you see when you log onto the Northern Colorado Trail Riders (NCTR) Club is the saying, "We don't stop riding because we get old, we get old because we stop riding". A very true sentiment. This club is very active in getting the word out that all ATV riders and other recreational vehicle drivers are not out to wreck the land or destroy the environment.
While most of their members are motorcyclists, they have a good number of ATV fans in their ranks. During riding season, the NCTR hosts ATV/OHV rides to diverse destinations such as Southern Wyoming and eastern Utah. They also host rides across Colorado.
This group is heavily involved in building and improving trail riding for ATV/OHV riders in Northern Colorado. They work had to uphold the standards set forth by Treadlightly that have become the norm with responsible ATV/OHR riders such as if you bring it in with you - bring it out, do not ride on muddy ATV trails, make new trails periodically to allow old ATV trails to reclaim themselves.
This group is working hard to make sure the ATV and OHV riding opportunities stay available for all riders.
