ATV Clubs for Everyone in Michigan
If you're looking for an ATV, or you are looking for other people who enjoy riding ATVs, try one of the many Michigan ATV Clubs. There are many available.
The Michigan ATV Association (MATVA) is a state association of ATV enthusiasts headquartered in Dearborn. This non-profit group works to advocate throughout the state for ATV riders, the environment and safety. They also offer driving classes and safety information throughout the year.
Another active club is the ATV Offroad Club of Michigan. This family oriented group promotes offroad activities in the state and sponsors several annual events, including rides at different trails throughout the state. With over 650 members, this is one of the larger clubs in the state and is headquartered in Alger, Michigan.
In the western upper peninsula of Michigan you'll find the MI-Trale group. The Michigan Trails and Recreational Alliance of Land and Environment (MI-Trale) focuses on safety and building new trails in Michigan. They hold several interesting events each year, including a log jamboree.
There are many local clubs scattered throughout the state as well. Older ATV riders may enjoy the newly formed West Michigan ATV Riders in Grand Rapids. Outdoor trail riding and an average age of 55 make this an interesting group for the older nature enthusiast. Another local group with a fun agenda is the Ride the Wind ATV Club in Muskegon. They are a non-profit group that not only loves ATVs, but they host poker runs for charity! They ride mainly in Silver Lake and Baldwin.
Finally, there's the Dirt Mafia in Lansing. They describe themselves as hardcore riders, mostly under 40 years of age. Whatever your interest, there's an ATV club in Michigan for you!
