My Area Doesn't Offer An ATV Safety Class - What Should I Do?

Everywhere you look parents, pediatricians and law enforcement professionals are singing praises when it comes to the benefits of an ATV safety class. Across the board, people are continuing to enroll in this specialized training in record numbers. It's now easier than ever to find an ATV safety class - even in some of the smallest, out of the way locations. But despite this fact, there are still several locations where it's nearly impossible to find anyone who's willing to offer an ATV safety class. If you've found yourself in this situation, don't worry, there's still hope. As they say, where there is a will, there is a way!

One option is to collect tons of free training materials from both ATV manufacturers and areas that do offer an ATV safety class to its citizens. You can do this by requesting information by phone, fax or online. There are a myriad of videos, CD-ROMS, DVD's, and printed materials out there designed to either institute or supplement an ATV safety course. And, better yet, most of these materials can be gathered together free of charge.

Another option is to take this selfsame information and to develop your own local ATV safety class. Partner with your local sheriff's department or fire department to organize a ATV safety class schedule, promote enrollment, and provide a certificate of training for graduates from the class. Whenever possible, try to make sure that your class is offered free of charge - to offer the maximum benefit to the greatest number of people. If however, you are unable to offer the ATV safety class for free, try to limit enrollment fees to the $5-10 range.

While it will take work, effort and time, by doing whatever it takes to keep your kids, teenagers and adult ATV riders safe, you'll be encouraging others across the state and nation to do the same.
