A motorcycle helmet approved by the DOT is very important, and the more coverage the better. Your local dealers carry a wide assortment of helmet styles, representing almost every taste. Motorcycle goggles should be added to protect your eyes from flying dirt and rocks.

You will definitely need elbow pads, and consider adding a stylish riding jersey to protect you from cuts, scrapes and windburn. Long sleeves provide the best protection. Be sure to allow for extra room in the boots for thick, cushy socks. If you don't want to go with the motocross boots, use a heavy duty boot that comes up over your ankle for the best support.
