ATV Riding At Big Bend Ranch State Park

Big Bend Ranch State Park has a great ride waiting for you and your ATV. The Big Bend Ranch State Park Complex is made up of over 335,000 acres.

This one park makes up half the state park land in Texas, however there are currently only a few places to ride your ATV as this is still very wild terrain. There two short roads that are cleared for riding your ATV and going off the designated path is not allowed. Additionally 32 miles of trails recently opened for ATV riders in the Presidio area. Be sure and get a map and plan your ride before you go, remember Big Bend is very wild terrain and there are a lot of undeveloped areas and this will make for a challenging ride and the new trails are not for anyone new to ATV riding. You will be sharing these ATV trails with hikers, bikers, and horseback riders so be aware.

If you want to explore the rest of the park, for around $50-$100 you can get a guided ATV tour to places you could not take your ATV yourself. You can see the "boom town" days of Big Bend, the remains of a mining operation, and some fantastic views of Big Bend on your ATV ride.

There are camping areas situated along the ATV trails, just adhere to the Big Bend Policy of "if you bring it in, you bring it out". Nothing must be left behind from your ATV ride, except good memories.
