Using An ATV At Apache Sitgreaves National Forest

The Apache Sitgreaves National Forest area is actually two forests. The Sitgreaves has a little something for ATV riders of every preference. Desert terrain to eight cold-water lakes. The Apache National Forest ranges in elevation from 3,500 feet to nearly 11,500 feet and is named for the tribes that settled in this area. You will enjoy riding your ATV in this area as there is so much to see in this over two million acres of undeveloped area.

In order to ride these fantastic ATV trails, you need to make sure you have your ATV sticker prominently displayed on your ATV and do a little pre-ride inspection and you and your ATV are off! There are hundreds of clearly marked ATV trails and while going trailblazing in your ATV is not encouraged, it is legal if no damaged is done to plants or soils and a muffler/spark arrestor is in place on your ATV.Make sure your ATV has tow hooks and a winch are recommended as there are some challenges along these trails and there are a few low lying areas that can get your ATV stuck if you don't come prepared.

There are fees to ride your ATV in Apache and Sitgreaves National Forest, they are only $15 for an individual and $20 for a family. For a great time riding your ATV, you can't go wrong with an excursion to Apache Sitgreaves National Forest.
