ATV Training in Arizona

The Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) issues two types of license plates for ATVs an "RV" and an "MC" plate. The RV plate indicates your ATV has been titled in the State of Arizona and is licensed for off road traveling, but you are restricted from traveling on roads or any road where your ATV would need to be considered "street legal".

If you are going to travel on public roads, you must obtain an MC plate which means your vehicle is street legal. Additionally, Arizona law requires either the "RV" or "MC" plate to be securely fastened in a clearly visible position to the rear of your ATV.
